The Bolueta Tower is part of #361Bolueta, a project of public and social housing for 361 houses in the neighborhood of Bolueta in Bilbao. The first building of the Project, which includes 171 houses in 28 floors, has been recently awarded the Passivhaus Certification by the Passive House Institute. In this way, the 88m-high Bolueta Tower has become the tallest certified Passivhaus residential building in the world.
Passivhaus buildings offer an excellent thermal comfort and air quality to its users all year long. Due to its energy efficiency, energy consumption as well as greenhouse gases emissions are extremely low.
#361Bolueta has been designed by architects VArquitectos for the promoter VISESA. Construction of the first building has been carried out by Construcciones Sukia. FHECOR’s role included the detailed design of the structure of the buildings of #361Bolueta.
