INSTALLED THE EASTERN TRUSS OF THE NEW ROOF AT ANOETA STADIUM

07/2018

The remodeling works of the Anoeta Stadium in San Sebastian (Spain) keep moving forward with the installation of the third roof truss last week after the first two had already been installed a few weeks ago. The remodeling works include a new roof supported by four large trusses.

The installation sequence of the 200-Ton Eastern truss has been the longest of the trusses installed, taking approximately three days to complete. The main steps completed are the following:

- Lifting and rotation of the northern and southern trusses with jacks to increase the gap available between them to fit the eastern truss comfortably.

- Positioning of the eastern truss between the northern and southern trusses and connection to both by bolts.

- A descent of the trusses to its position by the use of jacks and cranes, removing the load supported by the cranes.

FHECOR Ingenieros Consultores has designed the new stadium roof and the new façade, working together with LKS. Currently, FHECOR is part of the Project Management Team for the Owner as technical support during the construction.
