The 'El Corte Inglés' in Pamplona will be inaugurated tomorrow

The Inauguration tomorrow shall begin at 19.30, with the presence of the General Director of El Corte Inglés, Isidoro Alvarez and the main authorities from the Regional Government. It is foreseen that more than a thousand people will attend the act.
Situated in the heart of Pamplona, the leading distribution company in Spain has invested €110 million in this center and has created almost 1,000 jobs, 515 of which are for people between the ages of 18 and 25. 60% of which are women. The average age of the staff is 27.

The building has 15 storeys, six below grade, and four for car parking with a capacity for 484 vehicles on each floor, and a total constructed surface area covering 62,345m2, 25,988m2 of which are for commercial usage.

The center has 10 floors dedicated to sales. The first basement is where the supermarket is located. On the ground floor, fashion complements and the departments related to perfumes, cosmetics and pharmacy.

On the following eight floors you can find the departments dedicated to: women’s fashion, men’s fashion, electronics, computers and insurance, children’s fashion, toys, videogames and shoe store, Young fashion and denim fashion, sports, culture and leisure, homecare, wedding lists and customer attention, home linen and finally on the eighth floor there will be a restaurant/cafeteria, as well as travel merchandise, travel agents and male and female hairdressers.
The ‘El Corte Inglés’ in Pamplona offers its clients more than 90 brands. All the main national and international firms are present related to fashion and complements, home, sports, leisure etc: Purificación García, Roberto Verino, Gant Woman, Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Emidio Tucci, Hugo Boss, Hermenegildo Zegna, Diesel, Miss Sixty, Carolina Herrera, Lasserre or Burberry, as well as own brands such as: Yera, Lloyd’s, Síntesis, Fórmula Joven, Green Coast or Studio Classics. To this long list, other brands related to sports, complements, perfumes or commerce may be added

Shoe repair, press and magazines, florist’s, key copying, telephony services (Telecor) or Post Office are some of the other services the ‘El Corte Inglés’ in Pamplona offers, it also offers tickets sales, home delivery, gift packaging, shopping list, telephone ordering, personalized financing or gift cards.

The façade of the new shopping centre is crafted by José Antonio Martínez Lapeña, and is covered by 7,300 cast aluminium plates, each weighing 30 kilos.
